I have owned a one bed flat in a small block since 2017. The service charge has always been £82.00 per month. It has now more than doubled to £171. I have asked for justification of the increase. Does anyone has any experience in successfully challenging service charge increases?

Have the management company given you a breakdown of last years spending? You should get accounts every year. Also check if there is any money in the sinking fund
