Utility Cost Increase 261%

Hi All

Came here please looking for advice.

I am the owner of a flat. We have 3 blocks and each block has 6 flats. On each floor there are 3 sensor lights and 3 floors per flat. So in total 27 sensor lights. We have no heaters on these floors so they only time in theory anything other than the lights is used is when the cleaner hoovers once a fortnight. On top of this each building as lights that illuminate the car park for each building.

My issue is the management form estimated in 2023 the cost be per annum £3975 and in 2024 it has risen to £10395 and they are asking each owner to kick in the difference.

I am asking to see copies of there utility bills but i wondered if anyone has any advise please. Apparently they haven’t queried this cost with the energy provider and from my knowledge nothing has changed internally or externally to justify this increase.

Many Thanks in advance.

Tez

I think you are well with in your rights to question this cost
Under FFI they should provide this
My block is over 80 flats and we don’t pay that much
