Please help, I have added a clause requiring 2 months notice by both parties to terminate the tenancy (rather than the 1 month by the tenant), but this does not appear in the contract. Am I missing something?
Depending on the context, it may be an unenforceable clause due to Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999. If this is the case then Openrent may have rejected it, (although this is speculation on my oart as I don’t know how they operate).
Thanks. I think what happened was a mistake, I edited the contract (break clause) after adding the special clause but didn’t check to see if the special clause was still included.
