Tenent evicted today have 7 days to remove belongings.
If they dont where do I stand with removing their belongings?
Where did the 7 day figure come from? Most tenancy agreements give at least 14 days. You have to make multiple reasonable efforts to return the tenants possessions or you will run up against the ‘Interference with Goods Act’. I think that would be a struggle in 7 days. If there is nothing in the TA, I would give them a month and then dispose of everything carefully. You can clear it from the property now though.
