Tenants failed referencing because of new job

Hi
Our prospective tenants have failed the credit check in the area of affordability. They are moving into the area and so both stated that their jobs were coming to an end, hence the credit check has assumed they will have no income. They were also in a property that was included as part of the job so have no rental history. They have shown us other paperwork and we know that they have jobs arranged in this area and have substantial savings.
We are worried that we will be unable to get insurance because of this.
How do we get round this issue?

If they have jobs arranged they show the contract to the referencing company, they then check it is what it is. If they can’t supply a contract then don’t entertain them as they have no secured income. Having savings is great but how do you know those savings will fe used for rent? If referencing are failing them there will be a reason

Why don’t they have rental history surely whoever they rented from via work can give a reference sounds very sus red flags :triangular_flag_on_post:

You won’t get rent protection insurance (but most of us don’t use that anyway as it is expensive and only covers low risk cases ) but it should not affect your property insurance. You can however ask for a guarantor or advance rent.

Thank you, we have asked for a guarantor and open-rent are in the process of credit checking them, so all should be good.

Just ask for re-referencing based on their new jobs. Or check them out yourself.
