Im new to open rent . Property advertised for about a week . 17 enquires . Out of those only about 6 responded to my messages to book a viewing. Also booked viewing based on the tennant availability ( the ones who didn’t reply , assuming they would see the email ) of which they didnt show up . Is this normal to have so many time wasters . Any tips . If they dont reply …… ?

Have you set up the screening questions? Can help you avoid time wasters, as time wasters can’t be bothered filling them out, or the quality of what they write will tell you a lot about them. Tenants are also looking at multiple properties, not just your place, so if you leave them hanging around they will go elsewhere. You need to move fast as soon as you get one who appears to be able to answer your screening questions, which may only be 1 out of every 10 enquiries.
