Having listed a property for the first time yesterday, I’ve been looking for it to appear in the search results. Although I can see it is ‘live’, and can be found with a direct link (so long as this is in a browser not logged in to the same account), searches show nothing.
A) can this be made clearer in the listing status display?
b) how long should the vetting (presumably) take?
The portals usually take between 3 - 6 hours to update with any new adverts, and your property will be searchable on OpenRent within the hour.
You may find the below article useful on explaining how searching works, but if you have any more questions please feel free to drop us an email at https://www.openrent.co.uk/faq#i-have-more-questions and one of the team will be happy to help answer any questions specific to your advert.
Thanks for the reply. In this case, the property was on the portals by the time it appeared on the openrent search (mid-day Monday). Sounds like it might have got stuck somewhere - but all good now, only took 2 hours from reaching the portal to getting a viewing…
Further feedback, whilst logged in, it wasn’t super obvious that the ‘view listing’ link seen in the landlord view was something that would work to share with prospective tenants even before the search was live - and obviously for a first time user this is likely to be something quite useful.
