Hi - Prospective tenant doesn’t live locally right now and requested viewing by video. OpenRent doesn’t want us sharing contact info to use, for example: WhatsApp. But also doesn’t seem to have a video viewing option on the site. Has anyone else encountered this issue and, if so, what did you do?
I always have direct contact with prospective applicants and have once shared a video with a couple who were not in London at the time.
A possible way round it is to download Vimeo (other video apps may be available) to your phone. Take video of your property and upload it to Vimeo and then you can send a link to the prospective tenant for them to view it.
I saw an advert here this morning that included a video; it appeared to be from YouTube and was included with the property photos. Is there no option to add a video that way, or could a link to a video be included in your description?
You raise a good point which I did not include in my post. The link to the video would have to be included in the advert👍🏿

I have done this during covid when viewings were not permitted, and recently for some canadian teachers who were not in the UK. It worked well but be picky. It is a slightly higher risk. Although openrent says don’t share contact details it doesn’t prevent you. I have put videos on google drive and shared the link. That worked fine
