What notice do I need to give my tenants?

Hi

Looking for some advice regarding my current(and first)tenants. We do not want to extend their current agreement which ends on 31.03.22. I have verbally told them during a conversation at the weekend but would like to know if I have to use a Section 21 eviction notice or would an email suffice ?

The AST that they signed is an OpenRent agreement

You would need to use a section 21 notice. You need to give 2 months notice so give on or before 31st Jan. If it was 6 month contract it will need to be on 31st Jan as you can’t issue a s21 in first 4 months.
