I don’t want to use the OpenRent tenancy agreement but it’s proving impossible accepting a tenant without the tenancy agreement being generated. I have chosen to complete the Scottish Government Residential Tenancy Agreement and prefer to use Safe Deposits Scotland. I’m going round in circles as OpenRent keep instructing me on how to agree the let but aren’t addressing the issue of the automated tenancy agreement. I hope this makes sense to someone. Incidentally, in 2023 the last team i used OpenRent i had no such issue.
Don’t accept them through the openrent system. Now deal directly with your tenant via alternative contact methods

Karl11 has given you good advice about trying to deal directly with your prospective tenants.
With notable exceptions, OpenRent does a very good job with dealing with the renting situation in England - but the law is very different in Scotland and Northern Ireland (and, to a lesser extent even in Wales).
