Change of name after transitioning

Hi,

My tenant, who is trans, has recently transitioned and changed their name. I am therefore wondering what my legal obligations are in this situation? I assume they just need to change their name on the AST? Any help is appreciated as both myself and my tenant are rather left in the dark about the legal aspect of their situation.

You dont change anything. In any subsequent formal document you just put (new name) formerly known as (old name).
