Cutting a worktop

Hi All,

For those DIY pros, could I ask if it is possible to cut a 2.8cm worktop with a jigsaw? or we have to have a circular saw to cut it?

when the marble laminate worktop came over it is exactly like a office desk quality, i have seen people cutting worktop with jigsaw, but not sure about this one.

Any expert can help?

jigsaw is fine I have cut dozens of worktops Handsaws are better is a straight cut ps The jigsaw will chip the laminate upwards . The handsaw Less so. Electric plane is useful

Thanks for the confidence and suggestion! Just done that, surprised it works. it did chip a bit but not much an issue as silicone can cover the imperfection.
