Debt collection charges

Hi,

I’m using a debt collection agency to recover debt from a tenant who has now moved overseas. The agency charges 25% if they are able to collect the debt from the tenant. Is it possible for me to add this 25% on to the tenant’s debt?

Think so. You should be covered with all the fees related to recover the debt.

Check your contract most of tenancy agreements will state you can collect. I just got mine back from my tenants.
