Difficulties booking EICR check online with OpenRent

I have been unable to book an EICR safety check & safety certificate using the OpenRent online form. This is because, due to very weak broadband in my own home, the final verification code does not turn up in my text box. So the form remains unfinished. I have sent many requests for help on this to OpenRent Help. I have suggested that I simply pay for this service with my debit card. Only one advisor responded, suggesting this should be OK. No one else has responded. But I have had no guidance on how I can do this. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone suggest a way forward?

Thanks for reaching out, it seems there is a problem with your payment card specifically. Our payment provider (Stripe) is telling both of us that your payment card is failing to be authenticated. You will either need to try a different card (credit card or debit card), or contact your card provider to find out the root cause of this. I suspect you will run into the same issue with any online payment, as Stripe is one of the biggest card processors in the world!
