Difficulty renting somewhere

Hi, wondering if any landlords can suggest anything that would help me secure a tenancy. I am looking to move to Hamilton to be closer to my new partner. I have had bad credit (due to my previous partner passing away a few years ago) and I don’t have a job at the moment, but even if I had a job I would need to give up as moving to a new location and no one will give me an interview due to not being in the location. I own my own house outright, my property will be rented out to cover rent where I move to. Regardless to my house being paid for and going to be rented out, I keep hitting brick walls to secure a tenancy and I haven’t got a guarantor. Any advice or suggestions would be helpful. Many Thanks !

Your rent from your house will be taxable- after tax will it cover rent in new place?

There are companies which act as a guarantor for a fee.

Make sure debts have been paid and any ccjs set aside.

Register with some agents make sure they know your circumstances.

Without proof of regular income however you are always likely to find it difficult. Consider a lodger arrangement to start getting a history of rental income? Or find a job in new location and then that’ll help with getting a tenancy…

Appreciate its a bit if a catch 22 situation

Good luck

Hi,

Thank you ! For your reply, really appreciate it.

Not heard about companies about being a guarantor before, not sure how that would work.

Yeah is a catch 22 and very frustrating.

The rent I would get for my house would cover rent somewhere else with being taxed.

Thanks
