EICR certificate and Nest

My tenant wants to install a Nest thermostat which controls water and heating via a smartphone.

My understanding is that the installation requires 1) Removing the plastic housing of the programmer in the airing cupboard upstairs to wire in the Nest Heat Link to the existing programmer before replacing the plastic housing and 2) removing the thermostat altogether from in the living room and replacing it altogether with the new Nest Thermostat.

I have recently had a EICR certification done which is valid for 5 years. My question is will i need a new EICR after this Nest installation?

Thanks

L

I wouldn’t think so. Was the Nest system installed by a professional contractor?

thank David. yes it will be installed by a professional electrician
