Really struggling right now. Current landlord has giving us a section 21 due to her selling. Due to this we are finding somewhere else to live however, being on benefits and not having a guarantor is causing so much stress. Our current landlord has been aggressive and verbally abusing since the whole situation, as they want us out now.
Someone help! I dont know what to do.
You need to speak to Citizens Advice or Shelter for advice on where you stand and your options.
We’ve done that and still no help.
They have not explained your rights or options? What did they advise?
They wont help you find a new house. That will be very difficult as due to gov tightening rules, Landlords are now less likely to rent to anyone on benefits without a Guarantor.
They should be able to advise you on your legal rights in relation to the eviction, and re-housing by Local authority.
Your only option if you can’t find anywhere may be to go to the Council and ask for their help. Take the notice with you.
