I have decided to rent to a French woman who is over on the UK completing a teacher training course at the local university. I’m not worried about referencing side of things and will ask for proof of funds and course confirmation. However, it looks like she can only pay the holding deposit using a UK bank card, how do we get round this? Is there another platform to use?

On OpenRent the holding deposit will need to be paid with a UK debit card. We offer some guidance on how applicants can set up a UK bank account here.
Unless they can pay on a uk debit card, your tenant is not compatible with Openrent. I’m not aware of any other platform that provides an automated AST arrangement like Openrent, so you’ll need to ‘go it alone’ & do things manually outside of Openrent.
Your Landlord Association may be able to provide guidance / templates.
