How to change tenancy deposit scheme to new owner

I’ve sold my flat and need to transfer the tenancy deposit scheme to the new owner. I can’t find anywhere on the Openrent website to do this. Can anyone please guide me through this?!

@Jitin The reply to @Tim43 indicates OR will be reaching out to you and can change the LL name? Think your wife may need to be set up on OR system as a LL so can be transferred to her/her name used on deposit account but otherwise OR seem to be offering to do what you want/need? Good luck

If you try contacting OR support, expect them to propose ending the tenancy, refunding the deposit and creating a new tenancy with a new deposit.

If that happens and you still want OR to change LL name on the deposit account, @Tim43 may be able to tell you whom to contact in OR to get it sorted

I recently sold four flats and just returned the deposits to the tenants. It was straightforward and i didn’t need to do a mountain of paperwork. Years ago it was simple go transfer deposits over when you bought props with tenants in situ but unbonding and rebonding deposits is a headache
