Open Rent Map Location Making Ad Under Perform

Openrent could not get the map correct. Now they are refusing to refund me for hours spent complaining over two weeks of the advert under performing. Time is money. I have spent over two weeks trying to get this issue with OpenRent having the property in a different town and a different street correct.

When you use our paid advertising service, we start delivering that service straight away and incur a cost in doing so.

As your listing has already been marketed for several days, we’re unable to offer a refund on this occasion.

Ask OR about their complaints procedure. @mod_harry may be able to help.

As you say this will have meant tenants looking in your area won’t have found your ad so effectively there has not been a useful ad so they have not been delivering the service claimed.

If you get nowhere, check what letting agent associations they belong to and complain to them; and ask your local trading standards.

However don’t expect any company to recompense you for your time spent complaining about poor or lack of service

I thank you for your response. The issue us the post code was correct. Perhaps the issue was caused by a software glitch. I have been the victim of far more than software glitches databases can be defrauded and the last tenant stole 68 people identities to steal £170,000 from the DWP. He also abused me and defrauded me out of 5 months of rent when letting his two boxer dogs one of which was bought with the rent he was denying me. £1800 being a fraction of it. Then Police Scotland refused to serve the crime reference on him and demanded I give his dogs I was the ballie of when he got sent to 2.5 years in a jail in Carlise as he was English and not Scottish as the Daily Record elected to miss report on.

This is a serious crime as is a Sheriff ordering me to pay an additional £115 on a bank loan that the bank have no legal right to have seized from another bank, charged a redemeption fee for despte it being an internal bank transfer all parties did not approved. The mortgage arrears was like the fabricated outstanding amount prior to the crazy civil action being raised against only one defender. When an arrangement was in place to pay the illegimate loan in full by I retire as I will be 67 years old.

Dealing with crimes like falsyefing mortgage statements and gross confidentiality and data breaches and false information spreading are all prosecutable crimes. Hence the reason I used Open Rent as I do believe my flat has been targetted by those who have broken laws and been immoral in their conduct.

There solictor was wise to run away rather than taking my company to court.

This is why it was rather important to get a cool tenant who will pass the credit checks to allow me to get tenant rent protection insurance as dealing the Housing Property Chamber is understandably difficult at the moment when there are people despate to get accomodation in Scotland and on the voters roll. Landlords have to be SuperCareful as the number of evictions and payment orders that are need is causing a major backlog of over a year. Me I am going to have to wait for at least 2,5 years to get my rent back then the tenant is going to say … who the hell did the police order you to give my dogs away to, when the SSPCA failed to respond and I was threated with my door getting kicked in at a property a police officer could not be bothered servicing the crime reference to the tenant as there may well have been a conflict of interest.

The Scottish Government are considering in forcing Landlords to accept pets. Dogs left in top floor flat for days or all day is cruelty to animals. I was also told by the police not to attend the property after I was refused entry as I might get arrested.

@George34 crikey sounds like multiple ordeals you’ve suffered. Sorry to hear that.

In your shoes I possibly would not want to use a large web based company who you can’t telephone when there’s an issue, even if they are cheaper than listing via a traditional lettings agent.
