Hello,
I purchased PAT testing and listed items to be included and would like to get a refund for the complete incompetence of the company prop cert. How do I go about this if it was done through open rent (I can’t find any info on refunds).
The engineer was really unprofessional and messed me around with appointments, not turning up to one even after I had explained that my tenants work nights so it’s difficult to arrange and not returning my phone call when the appointment was missed. I complained to the person I had been emailing with on open rent.
When the engineer finally made it to the property they then only tested two items, I emailed Penny and asked for them to go back which she said they would. I chased and the engineer said that he couldn’t get hold of my tenants.
I chased up today and they said they would rearrange and I asked them to contact me directly to rearrange a time (I didn’t want the engineer to make the same excuse about not being able to contact my tenants again). I emailed Penny with the list and told her that my tenants were in all week as they are on annual leave. I’ve just had another email from Penny now saying something completely different and that the engineer couldn’t test anything else as they were integrated. None of my appliances are integrated and all have been PAT tested previously apart from the hoover and the dehumidifier (the humidifier was one of the two things tested.
I’d like to make an official complaint to get my money refunded as this company is a complete joke. The certificate they sent me doesn’t even have a certificate number on it - I’m sure this will make it invalid for insurance purposes and I have already pointed this out to them via email today.
Grateful for your help,
Charlotte
