My son & his partner are looking for somewhere to live in Warrington.They both work but have a dog.Do you think landlords accept dogs as he will not give his dog up? Thanks in advance
They have their work cut out for them. Its a landlords market, with what must be the highest number of applicants per property in decades. (80 plus is typical)
Most do not want pets for obvious reasons. LL will pick the low risk option. Some may take a rent premium.
The reality is, they will struggle.

How do they look after the dog if both work?

As a dog owning LL I gave permission once, never again. Not all people look after their dog, they dont see that a dog needs a walk some just use the property garden as a toilet and dont clean it up for months as has happened in my case.
