Purchasing from a neighbour with historical conflict

Dear OpenRent community,

A flat has just come up for sale in the same building and I consider buying.

However, I have been in serious conflict with the neighbour who is selling and had no choice to pursue legal action.

I am keen on the purchase and would offer close enough to the offer price to see her go but feel that if she knew it was me then she will not accept my offer.

If there any way to disguise my identity in the process prior to exchange of contract. I do not want to purchase through a limited company.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you very much

Purchase through your solicitor

Would my solicitor then need to make an offer to the estate agents handling the sale?

Yes you would appoint them to act on your behalf, thus maintaining your anonymity.
He’d essentially be acting for a third party.
He could allege his client , you, is abroad so as not to get the neighbour suspicious .
