Re letting after house sale failure

Tenants vacated the flat due to my intention to sell the flat because of rising buy to let interest rate . I gave 2 months notice but they vacated after 3 months. Question is if my flat doesn’t sell for my expected price . Can I re let my flat ? Is it mandatory to inform the previous tenants? Anything legally I should do?

Your flat….sell or let as you wish. No laws broken, no need to inform T.

Letting game would be completely undoable if we needed T’s consent to sell our property. On the other hand, in some countries TT get right to compulsory purchase after they’ve been in the property for so many years. So, nothing surprises me now.
