Referee suitable for Partner - deemed unreliable for myself WHY?

My partner and i have both provided the same referee for a property we are looking to rent, this is our current letting agent who we have been with on a joint tenancy since the start (Lowther/Wheatley Homes). His reference has passed yet mine is deamed “unreliable” and “unreputable” on openrent security system. This is causing a headache for my partner and i along with the gentleman we are looking to rent through. There is no logic in this decision or how it has been made/come about, is anyone able to explain? Have escalated this to a complain because if matter is not resolved we will lose out on this property.

Nope. ALL other references are a pass and it’s soley down to the reference re letting agent. Affordability etc all pass and fine. Doesn’t make sense that common sense can’t prevail and referee for one party can be fine and other is unreliable (as in she is an unreliable person to be a referee). So frustrating, i could cry as will lose out on this house as openrent are not helping or listening to my query or contacting me. I’ve lodged a complaint over this also.
