Rent arrears court order tenant to pay £ 14000

I had a court hearing for a rent arrears and order tenant to pay 14000 of rent arrears within 21 days but the question is if the tenant refuse to pay and the source of income is universal credit what should i do any advise

You have absolutely no chance of collecting that. You have a CCJ which will inconvenience them going forward, but unless they win the lottery…

unless you want to get them with a bailiff and take assets such as a car or two

Can the high court not take it out of their benefit payments

I had a similar situation and contacted universal credit 0800 328 5644. I found out that my tenant was informing Universal Credit that he had been paying the rent. You can send your bank statement to show that they are not paying the rent. Also any evidence that you have been asking for them to pay their arrears.
I received the rent, including 50 pounds towards the rent arrears.

Do you claim that money from revenues or from the tenant
May I ask how did you seek recourse?

The tenant paid monthly and an additional £50 towards the rent arrears every month.
You will need to liaise directly with Universal Credit and they will ensure that the tenant pays, but once the tenant leaves the property you will not receive any more payments towards the rent arrears.
I had to go through the High Court and also a lawyer, It gets very expensive. So contact Universal Credit as soon as possible so that the tenant can start paying his rent while he is at your property.
Try to speak to your tenant and Get him to leave.
The bailiffs are the most expensive!!
Be careful when choosing a lawyer, as they are not often qualified lawyers

But what will happen after they move out will universal credit pay you the rent arrears even that you have a court order

They can but generally the MAXIMUM deduction allowed is 15% of their Universal Credit
So it could take a while to recover taht amount
