The service provided by Rentguard for the referencing process is terrible. They are not processing the information provided by the prospect tenants and it’s impossible to reach them out on the number Open Rent provides.
Really let down by this service, which now the landlords have to pay for. The cost for the referencing should be split between the tenants and landlords to be fair.
I must say, that’s the opposite of my experience. I’ve called them many times to query aspects of a reference or to chase it and always managed to speak to someone relatively easily.
Trying making a complaint to Openrent directly.
OpenRent will just refer you back to RentGuard. They do respond to emails. I have noticed a difference with our latest referencing…they were much slower than before COVID like a lot of services are.
