Asked to view property 5 days ago no reply from landlord, now asked for deposit not sure whether this is a normal request money before a viewing?

No its not normal, so look elsewhere and report them to openrent.
The asking for the deposit has come direct from openright hence my enquiry
Plus the house still on market after 5 days,openrent have chased up for me…maybe the problem is with the landlord,we are local to the area,and the property is what we have searched for × 9 mths.
are you Sure it is open rent .all correct and not slightly different
It may be that the landlord by mistake has pressed the " request a holding deposit" button.
