I’ve had a request from a lady claiming to have two children under 5 apparently her husband is self employed and he earns an amount which is not what I would class as “low income”. Why would someone who is not earning low income be having there rent paid by the council ?
Can you call the local authority and ask a generic question?

Assuming the self employed earner file tax returns, ask for a copy of the latest SA302 and see if it marries up to what you’ve been told about his income.
