Context — we have loved in the same flat for 4 years and will be moving out now. Over those years some of the Vertical blind slats have fallen off etc and the lamps from 2014 have been accidentally damaged. Should we replace the blinds before moving out and should we replace the lamps considering there age?
If the blinds were brand new at the start of the tenancy, I’d say you should contribute towards a repair. If they were already older, then it could be argued that they were nearing the end of their lifespan anyway.
Whatever we say, it’s your Landlord’s opinion that matters.
