Does the landlord have to supply white kitchen goods e.g washing machine, fridge, etc in an unfurnished property? Some say yes, others say just a cooker or oven/hob? Also if the property has a garden with a lawn does the landlord have to supply a lawn mower?

You do NOT have to supply white goods. Unless you have an HMO If you do then you have also taken on the problem of having them tested for safety, also replacing or repairing. If you have a lawn you can either do it yourself, buy them a small lawn mower. or take some money off the rent for them to do it. Or hire your own man to do it.
