Hi I wonder if anyone could help me out with a question. My tenant needs the gutters cleanen out is that up to them to sort out or do I need to get them done ?
Hi, does your tenancy agreement have a term specifying who is responsible for cleaning gutters?
If they are damaged or need repair, then this will be your responsibility.
If it just cleaning, a term in the tenancy agreement would make it clear who is responsible. If there is no such term, then the RLA’s advice column recommends landlords do this where needed.
If a blockage in gutter drainage causes a leak, then it will be your responsibility to fix it! So best perhaps to clear the gutters either way.
