Advice Needed on Employment Verification Without External Links

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue with verifying my tenant’s income for OpenRent. The HR department is reluctant to use external links due to their internal policies. They have provided the employment verification data via email in their standard template, which includes all necessary details on tenure and income.

However, my tenant’s application status was marked as failed due to the referee being removed and no transactions being verified, which has impacted my ability to secure rent guarantee insurance.

Does anyone have experience or advice on how to navigate this situation with OpenRent? Are there any alternative methods to verify income that meet OpenRent’s requirements without requiring external links?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Best regards,
Suranjith

Every referee (employer / previous landlord) is sent a unique code which they can enter into OpenRent without needing to click on any link. I’m afraid the HR department is misleading you (or your tenant) here slightly, as there is no requirement for them to click on any links by the OpenRent system - it is designed it so it works with employers across the country, both big and small.

It’s possible the HR team/department simply don’t want to provide a reference, but generally if pushed by the tenant they will do so, as preventing their staff from obtaining a home isn’t in anyone’s interest.
