Blinds: pros and cons of different types

Hi all. Coming to the finishing stages of another refurb. Have previously used vertical blinds but they can be easy to damage. Considering venetians this time. Anybody got any thoughts on pros and cons ?

I use roller blinds for most windows in rentals, assuming they’re sash windows or open outwards. If windows open inwards, which seems to be more common in newer properties, then options are limited: vertical blinds are the most appropriate and cost effective. Perfect fit or tension blinds would look nicer but for a rental, it’s more expensive and easier to break in my opinion.

Roller generally cheapest and least hassle. I think they look cheap and to me only seem right in the kitchen or bathroom.

Venetian tend not to get cleaned by tenants and broken slats prevalent though easy to replace.

Vertical ok but take up a lot of window sill but get twisted easy. Of these three I would go with venetian.

Good roman blinds can look really nice if you want to goto that expense but would be overkill unless a premium rental.

I tend to not put any up now, and leave to tenants.
