Complaints for landlords with no integrity

So i arranged a viewing yesterday and was informed i was the forst person too call and that i would be the first too view it, so he said see you tomorrow at 11 am i agreed i turned up 10 mins early and he invited me in to inform me a woman phoned up at 10 and he let her view it at 10.45 and now she wants it and i cant i feel like this is sexist or racist considering i never seen a women leave the flat upon my arrival.

Why on earth would this be assumed sexist or racist??? Dishonest yes. Not sure how we could jump to those other assumptions l””.

Because I have been informed I was first and no one else onky for a woman to phone and have first say. That’s how it’s sexist, also I arrived and before I even entered the flat the basicslly told me no. After being so positive on the phone and telling me I had first choice onky too see me and say no instantly. What a poorly ran business so yes I felt profiled and who are you to tell me otherwise as you wasn’t there. This is the 3rd time a woman has had her way because of her gender.

I have lost a days wages

I have lost a potential home

And wasn’t informed in any shape or form

What good is a man’s word if they can’t keep it.

I should of been informed and I should of had first viewing as agreed upon.

So no a sorry will not suffice and I will be taking matters further.

in the search for a home you are going to have many disapointments. Best brace yourself for it and wind your neck in

Hahaha what a plant pot

Terrible ran business

And this is how you treat customers

What a helmet you are Colin

I think I see why the landlord preferred the other applicant.

There is no rule that says first come first served. The landlord can choose whomever they like from those that view the property. In this case though…

I’m black and I’m a woman.
It’s taking a very long time to obtain a new home.
Some tenants who’ve been more successful than myself have been
white
Asian
students
non disabled
single with no children

So as a woman, I’ve not “gotten my way”, as you imply women do, lol.

Yes, it’s really disappointing to not get a place. I’ve had a rant before about feeling so rejected by the system.
But, on a positive note, I’ve come across some nice landlords who’ve advised what I can do to best help myself for future properties.

Deep breath, carry on.

That Landlord has had a lucky escape

I have rented out to men women asian black white Matters not to me. Best one wins

It’s a tough old world out there, hadn’t you noticed ? Somebody was quicker off the mark than you, but even so there are no guarantees until you sign that contract. Keep trying and be a bit less entitled, it doesn’t come over well.

To add, I don’t feel there’s been any “ism’s”.

OP, It’s just there’s loads of potential tenants applying at the moment, so it may take some time…

I’ve just had 76 people apply for one property. I will pick the best, I’ve let several carefully selected ones view it, I never promise it to anyone at the time. I wait until I’ve seen them all. Being able to get on with the tenant is essential.

Sometimes a tenant can seem ideal, then on meeting or speaking with someone else after them I change my mind.

Wise words and good luck to you

I’ve rejected a prospective tenant by the way he crossed the road, bounded up the stairs into the front room & said “I’ll take it”
It’s gut instinct
