Hi, just wondered what other peoples experiences are regarding this. I would say about 75% of my enquiries never respond to my reply to their initial enquiry. I usually respond within a few hours or less.
I know all the initial enquiries go to my junk email but I still get a text message. I presume it’s the same for the people enquiring.
There’s two ways to look at this
a) if they cant be bothered to check their junk folder or messages in the OR system either their comms /IT skills arent very good or they just arent that interested in viewing your place so no loss and your time hasnt been wasted by doing viewings with them
if you have enough enquiries to find enough tenants to rent your property at a rent you are happy with in a timescale you are happy why care ?
b) you’ve missed a great possible tenant due to OR emails going to spam. Consider adding your tel or personal email to your auto reply message so they can contact you direct. Maybe theyll get the auto reply even if they didnt get your message
Or contact the ones you never heard from direct yourself using the tel/email details they provided (think you may not have option to see their details if youve not signed up for ‘Rentnow’)
Or use an alt like an agent whom they can call direct by phone, or one of the other platforms like helloneighbour

David240, I don’t have Rent Now and wanted to know for future. Do all profiles show contact numbers and if you have Rent now, can you always see them, or do you have to ask for the person’s permission to see them? Hope you can clarify. Many thanks
I cant say for certain if all tenants have to fill in but ive always been able to click on their profile and ‘reveal contact details’ to see them, without asking any permission
