Do I have to be present during an inventory and check in

I’m using MI Services and need to head of to our new home as soon as they arrive, just occurred to me they want me to stay.

Any advice on this?

I am a landlord and I always do inventory checkin with
tenants. From my opinion it is a best way to start
tenancy especially tenants.

You are not legally obliged to stay. You can always take your own photos and videos of the property too beforehand which can also be used as any evidence in the future if need be.
