Energy rating of white goods/appliances

Hello everyone,

When you replace white goods (specifically: a fridge/freezer and dishwasher) in a rented flat, do they have to be rated at energy level E upwards, OR just the overall energy rating of the flat must be E+?
Clearly, the energy rating of the appliances help to increase the rating of the overall flat but should appliances be E+ by the current regulations?

Thanks,

Simonetta

The energy performance of your appliances does not affect the property EPC.
