We are thinking of buying another rental property but the EPC can only just reach a C with changes. As this is expected to reach a B by 2030 would we still be able to rent it out if this is not possible. Is that legislated for as there are many properties that cannot go that high Thanks in advance I have looked for this info but its nowhere to be found.
C hasnt even been introduced yet and has been post poned indefinitely.
If/when is does become a requirement then they will have to make concessions for those properties that can’t go beyond a C.
The standards for assessment are all going to change so impossible to predict anything.
I would just carry on…
