Independent Inventory


I am letting through open rent but using my own inventory clerk.

My previous letting agent used to get the inventory signed along with the contracts.

How does this work through open rent. Do I need to get the Inventory signed independantley to the AST? and when do the tenants need to sign it - Before moving in or the day they move in?
Also are their any clauses I should add to the AST in view of the independant inventory?
