Is it allowed to pay for the entire renting contract in advance?

Context: I’m currently on disability benefits, looking to move cities to Nottingham to be close with my business partners and help work on our company. Problem i’m facing is DSS seems to be extremely stigmatized at the moment due to the government changing the rules around arrears and i’m struggling massively to find any properties for months now. I have savings, a guarantor, good credit score, doesn’t seem to matter. I’m given enough money to technically pay for some cheaper rents without DSS, although at that point i’m really squeezing cash and I imagine would make me fail most affordability tests.

Question: Would a landlord be more willing to accept someone on benefits with a lower affordability score if they were to pay for an entire contract in advance, purely through savings? (This would be without DSS reductions.)

If anyone has suggestions for alternative solutions it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it would help. Landlord is still likely to want to go through references and have a guarantor as even if you pay for the fixed term upfront the tenancy doesn’t automatically end at end of fixed term, so landlord would want to the guarantor for that.
