Hi, I tried to get rent insurance but was denied as my tenants (2 of them) original references had expired. When I tried to re-reference them, I could only do one at a time. Reference 1 came back as failed because the system assumed she was renting alone. I cannot select the other tenant’s name to reference her. Tenant 1 has apparently proposed a second tenant but this isn’t showing on my dashboard, and even if I do manage to add her, will the system update the fail on tenant 1 to a pass? I REALLY need to speak to someone but it seems impossible to find a phone number or even a live chat. Any advice?
Openrent don’t use telephones or live chat. Use a different service like hello neighbour if you need that
But if the tenants failed before because you didnt reference both together that’s down to you - it’s perfectly possible to use the OR referencing to reference two tenants together. Doubt OR will refund anything. Maybe wait 24h and logout login again to OR site to refresh everything in case an old webpage stopping you see the ‘new’ 2nd tenant. Otherwise DM @mod_emma or @mod_harry and ask them to look into why new 2nd tenant not showing.
