Renting to Foster carer?

Anyone had similar experience? Is there a special license involved? Are there any risks?

No idea. Ask the foster carer to check for you.
I see no reason why this would be any different from any other potential tenant. They may have difficult kids that may cause damage, but then some other non-fostering families are the same. If I were them, I would be looking for you to provide them stability, so as with anyone else, give them a place for the long term. At least they will have been vetted by the Fostering Agency as a reliable and trustworthy person/family, so double vetted!

I sold a load of insulation to a fostering family. .their kids were great, and the adoptive parents too. It may be that the parents of the fostered kids were the problem or they may be deceased. Every case on its merits. Check, check,check

I was more concerned about any special requirements that might be involved from the landlord’s side, rather than any damage in the house. Thanks for your answer anyway.

as john45 says the foster agency would have done a great deal of che.cking. I would say carry out the normal referencing

To speed things up, call the Council directly and ask to be put in touch with the Foster Care team who can then advise you about any special requirements - highly unlikely I think.
The only thing I can think of are special facilities for disabled children, or the foster carers themselves, so ask the foster carer if they or ‘their children’ have any ‘special needs’, such as handrails in bathrooms, walk-in showers instead of a conventional shower or a conventional bathroom.

it may be that the council will be reluctant to give out information. On the other hand they may want to check out your property. If there were any special needs I would have though the foster parents would have said so
