My perspective tenants would prefer to use the reposit option for the deposit. Am I, as the landlord responsible for credit referencing them?
If so does this need to be done prior to contract signing?

It depends. If you are using Openrent RentNow, then I think referencing is probably part of the package. If not, then, well, yes, although you can still buy it from OR as a standalone option.
Deal with your tenancy as normal, where obviously referencing would form a vital part. Its still your decision to offer the tenancy.
If the applicant does NOT pass referencing, I don’t think they will be eligible for Reposit.
