I know they are. They are not allowed to. Like all walks of life there are scum bags. Contest it.
Next time setup up a forwarding address rather than try to save few quid. (Its what we do to avoid things like this).
And notify DVLA.
You are moaning about something the person could have avoided.
Nobody here is saying that it’s right that a parking ticket has such a dramatic effect! You are venting to the wrong people.

Never had a parking ticket as I only shop where parking is free. So never go into the city . I too would be annoyed about a parking ticket doing that to me . just shows how up to date you have to be with DVLA in the computer age. I too have no debt. ,as in life always been in work and now can help out my children. Work, save, work, save. All of us just have to keep going.
